Paal vazhaka | pal vazhaka or sago dessert is a classic Malabar - Kozhikodan delight.It is commonly prepared during Ramadan.Sago cooked with coconut milk and ripe plantain.a very delicious and easy dessert. Easy to make and yummy in taste
1. boil thin coconut milk in a sauce pan. add sago then cook in a low flame until it become soft or transparent
2. Mean while take another pan and add ghee
3. Add cashew nut and raisin and fry
4. Add chopped bananas (Plantain) and fry till it is golden brown, once its done keep the pan aside
5. By this time the sogo would have become transparent now add sugar and pinch of salt and boil
6. Add the fried bananas to the sago cook it for 5 minutes
7. Add thick coconut milk and mix
8. Boil for couple of minutes and the paal vazhaka will be ready
